To enhance our support of districts and schools, or as a stand-alone process, NCUST conducts school- and district-level audits to identify the inequities regarding student access to high-quality teaching and learning.  In general, these high-performing school audits identify the similarities and differences between the systems and practices employed by a particular school or district and those in place in the schools that have won our America’s Best Urban Schools Award. In short, we look for evidence of the three critical characteristics found in urban schools where all groups of students achieve at high levels: access for all to challenging curricula, effective instruction that leads to engagement and mastery, and a positive transformational school culture. Each audit generates a report to the school or district with findings and recommendations.

We tailor each audit to the goals of the particular school or district.  Please contact us for more information about the NCUST Equity Audit process.
